Seems to me a lot of the 41 models had a porcelain top, comparatively. also they were all low backs, as far as I know. Perhaps they switched the backs???
I contacted the seller, and I'm gonna go look @ it this after noon.
Can I call dibs???

Okay, we are the lucky winners of this one. Just got back from Gainsville this afternoon and my husband already has it completely dismantled....and we are just as stumped. It does not appear that the back nor the top has been swapped. The model plate has O 44-1 stamped into it. Now, I'm completely confused. Any ideas?

Congrats, it is in nice shape. I looked at it, but decided not to buy another project right now! Too bad, those 4 burner models don't come along that often.
